Sean – Class of 2014

I had such a great time with Sean and his mom at his senior session. It was a VERY cold day, but we still managed to do some outdoor pictures and warmed up with a cup of hot chocolate. 🙂 Sean and his older brother both played basketball at St. John (one of our rival schools!) and they have always stood out because of their height, talent, love for the game and good sportsmanship. Basketball is a very important part of Sean’s life and he hopes to have the opportunity to play with his brother again at a college level. Rivals or not, I will definitely be rooting for Sean in the upcoming tournaments!

Michelle – Class of 2014

I’m so glad we were finally able to get Michelle’s senior session done after a couple of reschedulings–this time we were lucky enough to choose one of the few above zero days we’ve had in a long time! The other cancellation was due to a little mishap that landed Michelle on crutches, which we joked about as we gingerly picked our way across the ice 🙂 This auburn haired beauty is one of those people who intuitively know what to do that looks good in front of a camera, and she can also rock the half-smiling/serious look better than just about anyone I’ve photographed! A sweet and caring person, she loves to babysit, play volleyball and spend time with her family and friends.

Ashley – Class of 2014

I was so happy to get to spend the afternoon with this beautiful girl! I have known Ashley since she was born… her mom was my babysitter and as a 6-year-old girl, I was thrilled to have my very own baby to play house with. 🙂 Photographing Ashley was such a special experience because I got to know her better as an adult and see what a bubbly, unique, kind-hearted person she has become. We had lots of laughs together, took a few trips down memory lane, nearly lost my wedding ring (!), and almost froze our fingers and toes to get pictures in the snow (totally worth it by the way). Here’s to a great rest of your senior year Ashley!

Hayley

This was Hayley’s belated senior session–she already graduated last year but wanted to commemorate that milestone in her life by having her pictures done. We also took this opportunity to do some mother/daughter shots. Janine is a lucky woman to have three beautiful daughters! Hayley has a variety of interests and talents: she works on her father’s farm, goes on missions trips, sews her own clothes (including two of the dresses she wore for her pictures!) and plays the harp, to name a few. She brought along the harp her father made for her to the photo session–our first ever harp in the studio. Hayley’s engaging smile, blue eyes, and loose blond curls made for a perfect subject in front of the camera. I really enjoyed getting to know her, along with the rest of the family!

Jenna Class of 2014

This gorgeous girl has such a fun style and personality… she’s the perfect balance of sweetness and sass! We worked with the beautiful fall colors and, of course, had to play in the leaves a little. 🙂  Jenna’s mom wasn’t able to come with to her session because of work, so we shot a few pictures to encourage her as she goes through treatment for breast cancer. I love the motto on Jenna’s shirt… “Race together, Fight together.”
