The Loft Photos

Here at the studio we are mesmerized with this couple… While going through the pictures I kept saying, “she’s SO beautiful!” Dalia has a special sweetness that makes me feel very drawn to her, and I admire Pedro for working so hard to support his growing family. Little “Mya papaya” is already one very loved, very lucky baby girl!

Aquí en el studio estamos fascinados con esta pareja… Mientras miraba sus fotos, yo decía, “ella es TAN hermosa!” Dalia tiene una personalidad dulce que me hace acercar a ella, y yo admiro a Pedro por esforzarse para soportar a su familia. La bebita “Mya papaya” ya es una nena muy amada y afortunada!

This sweet family recently welcomed their first child – a beautiful little girl named Maggie. It would be impossible to look at her and not comment on her gorgeous full head of hair… exactly the same color as mommy’s! Maggie was a little older than the newborns we typically photograph, but she was such a content girl for her shoot and slept like a champ at the end.

This brother/sister duo gives me the best interaction shots every single time I photograph them! Although they have their squabbles, at the end of the day they really are the best of friends. I couldn’t imagine a better big sister than Olivia, and rough-and-tumble Cooper possesses the softest of hearts. Proof: when it was time for them to go, Cooper eagerly gave me a big hug and said something I didn’t quite understand… His mom translated it to be “Love you.” My day was made. 🙂

When we get called about doing photos of a large group, our first question is always, how many children and how many adults? The answer was 10 and 13, and the children were the majority! There is always a bit of trepedition with a group of that size, but the kids were wonderfully behaved and so cooperative! We did the session at Jim and Cyndy’s beautiful lake location, and included props provided by Cyndy and (at Jim’s request!), his grandfather’s truck.

Pretty, sweet Neva… It’s hard to believe you’re already two and a half! The highlight of this session was when I made our little stuffed bunny nibble on Neva’s toes. It got lots of smiles and giggles and turned into a game of “nibble my knees – nibble my fingers – now nibble my cheeks” and so on. When we were done Neva ran over to her mom and breathlessly exclaimed, “Mom, that was AWE-some!” Glad my silly games rate so high with the two-year-olds.  😉
