I am in love with these pictures, partly because they are beautiful and capture the essence of this little family, and partly because Adam and Jessica are both friends of mine from high school! I’ve known Jess since pre-school, and we’ve kept in touch as she became Adam’s wife and now, Christian’s mommy. Christian is the center of their world and a good-natured, charming baby. It was so special to capture him at one year!
Sometimes it’s all about Dad…

What is it about this little guy that captures our hearts?
It might be those soulful blue eyes, that perfect button nose or the little creases under his eyes… or maybe it’s his goofy streak, his sweet cuddly side, or that earnest, forehead-wrinkled expression he sometimes gets. Actually, I think it’s ALL of these things. 🙂 Happy first birthday Harley!
These kids are SO cute. If I could take them home with me, I would – really! However, I think I don’t think they’re up for grabs (Grandma and Grandpa seem pretty enamored as well.) 🙂 It’s becoming a summer tradition for the boys to spend a week or two in North Dakota. And as we know, rural ND has a way of getting in your blood… Kingston has already settled that he wants to be a farmer! Poor Truett was a sleepy boy and the end of our session coincided with the beginning of his nap. We didn’t mind though – he’s just as precious sleeping as awake.
After a rescheduling twice due to Cooper not feeling well (they found out he had a double ear infection!), he was such a happy, happy boy for his session. We love this little guy to bits and I think the feeling is mutual. 😉

Our beautiful Ariannah turned one recently and we celebrated with tulle, feathers and frills… plus matching mommy/baby outfits! Ari loved looking out the window – some of her other “loves” right now are music, her paci, and yummy snacks. 🙂
