Well, here’s the “part two” that we promised you! We were lucky to have so many sweet and beautiful families in over the holidays. Kyle and Sara brought in smiley 6 month old Leighton to visit us… she rocked all kinds of fun “little girl” accessories, including beads, tutus, headbands and boots made by Grandma! As you can see from the pictures, this is one baby who’s definitely not lacking in the “love” department. 🙂 Our next family, the Schmaltz’s, have all agreed that it’s probably best to let little Jackson be the star of the show… Hey, when you’re three and the next youngest in the family is 19, you have all kinds of bargaining power! Lucky for Jackson, he has his older brother Brett to teach him, look out for him, love him (oh yeah, and bug him a little). 😉  Speaking of looking up to your older brother, the Svir’s youngest, Kendra, has TWO to look up to! It’s a well known fact that if you can convince Caleb and Brody to do something Kendra will not be far behind. They thought smiling for pictures was awfully painful, but I think they had a good time in the end! Our last little family made things fun for us by bringing in santa hats. Garrett and Ian have grown up so much since their pictures last year… they are becoming such handsome boys! Their mom got a beautiful canvas of her little “santas” to display at Christmas time. I think she’s going to like it so much it might be on her wall year-round. 😉  Best wishes to everyone in 2014!

Due to the business of the holidays, we naturally got a bit behind on our blogging… Anyway, these three lovely families (just the first “installment” of the holiday blog!) definitely deserve some time in the limelight. Jason, Kim, Kadence and Easton have been our loyal clients and close friends ever since Kadence was born four years ago. We so enjoy watching the kids grow and change, and little Easton has made some impressive strides since we saw him last! Next up, we have the twins, Karsen and Parker – full of smiles, secrets and giggles… not to mention (almost!) identical smokin’ serious looks. 🙂  We end with Alice and her boys, Aaron and Devin. Aaron is a freshman in college this year and has left a pretty big gap in their tight-knit family of three. Devin is excelling at basketball and loves hunting in his spare time. We even took some pictures with his grandpa’s gun… the cattails and camo match his sandy hair perfectly! Holiday blog – part two coming soon…
When the Larsons called to say they needed pictures of all 19 of them, we were sure glad we could offer them beautiful light, wide open spaces and shelter from winter’s blustery welcome! It was such a pleasure to meet Michelle, her husband and their 8 children for the first time. As you can imagine, 13 kids (especially the 1 & 3 year old!) made things a little crazy, but we felt right at home with this lovable bunch!
We were smitten with beautiful newborn baby Mylie! She surprised her mommy and daddy by making her appearance on Halloween Day, more than 2 weeks early. Luckily she was good sized, healthy, and ready to join big sister Peyton at home. We had to make sure to schedule her newborn session around deer hunting season, since Daddy is an avid hunter! We think he chose the camo outfits 🙂
We were so happy to have this special family back in and to be able to do pictures of the four of them! As always, Olivia and Cooper were model subjects (although we missed Auntie Becky’s tactics for convincing Olivia at times!) and there were lots of hugs, kisses and silly giggles. Cooper is such an expressive, handsome boy and Olivia doesn’t seem to mind sharing the spotlight. 🙂 As we looked through the pictures, we were struck again by how much Olivia looks like mommy and Cooper looks like daddy!
