I had so much fun getting creative with Erika for her senior shoot! The light was gorgeous that day, and I love the energy the sunshine and good ol’ North Dakota breeze bring to these photos. Blond-haired, blue eyed Erika is a gymnast (I never did get to see a demonstration!) who helps coach at her dad’s gymnastics school. She looked stunning in the natural light studio… the perfect compliment to her fresh-faced beauty and simple, classic style.

I have known Levi’s family since I was a little girl, and we took his sister Anna’s senior pictures when she graduated. She came along this time too, so poor Levi had to put up with 3 women fussing over him for 2 hours! He was a great sport though and seemed so comfortable in front of the camera. This handsome fella is an easy-going country boy with a love for farming, hunting and his pickup, of course. 🙂
Garrett has spent a lot of time on his grandparent’s farm since he was about two years old, so it was a logical place for his senior pictures. He and Grandma had some great ideas and location suggestions, and of course we had to include the dogs! They follow him everywhere, and are heartbroken when he leaves for school. We also featured a 90’s era pickup, in ketchup and mustard colors, which a friend refers to as the McDonald’s pickup! Garrett plans to go on to school to study agriculture, and return to the family bison ranch. He already knows a lot about the management and production end of things, and told me many interesting facts. Even though he is almost all grown up, Grandma agreed with me when I said he must have been a really cute little boy! 🙂
Emily is a Devils Lake cutie who is well known on the basketball court. She has a certain sparkle in her eyes, and oh, those dimples!! She plans to go on to college and continue her basketball career; she loves the outdoors, and spent the summer mowing in the cemeteries. Although an athletic, outdoorsy type, I would by no means call her a tomboy! She loves her shoes and purses, and I loved her simple, non-fussy, classic style. The youngest of a family of all girls, Mom is going to need her Kleenex box handy when Emily graduates! I promised to offer a shoulder to cry on. 🙂

It’s always great when we have more than one client from the same family! Sarah was accompanied to her session by her sister Lindsey, who was a senior just two years ago. She was the ideal assistant for her sis, having gone through all this only a short while ago–I loved seeing their close relationship. Sarah rocked the formal to the casual look, with her choice of outfits, and her easy smile…even though it was the hottest day of the year!! (No joking!) She plays the flute and the piano, and is a fan of Peter Pan–or at least the concept of not growing up 🙂 Even though that may be inevitable, we wish you many lighthearted and fanciful glitter-filled moments as you reach this milestone of being a senior!
