We took Rylan’s sister’s senior pictures last year and are so happy for the chance to work with this family again! Rylan is just an all-around awesome guy. I was impressed with his quiet, considerate nature and the respect he showed for his mom. Ladies, you know you’re always supposed to choose a husband based on how they treat their mother, right?? 😉  Rylan loves the outdoors, excels at basketball, and enjoys helping on the farm… he cleans up pretty nice too!
I had a blast with this girl – Taren was an absolute natural in front of the camera. Sweet and demure, with a sultry serious look to boot. She’s the setter for her volleyball team and is loving starting varsity with her younger sister this year!

This stunning brunette will be graduating from Dunseith High School in May… I had so much fun getting to know her, her mom, and her younger sis Alyssa (who will be graduating next year). We had a super cold, blustery, icy (and all things WINTER) day for Kaitie’s shoot – that beautiful bit of “breeze” in her hair in the last shot is actually a sub zero arctic blast. 🙂 I always love being able to relate to my subjects in some way and (besides sharing a first name) could really relate to the close relationship Kaitie shares with her sister. We agreed we both feel so lucky to have a life-long “built-in” best friend!
Hope will be graduating from Devils Lake High School this May. She plays volleyball and violin and plans to study engineering in the fall. She decided to wait until after she got her braces off to do her senior pictures, which meant some rather chilly February weather for the outdoor shots… Her mom said that the big debate was between having a summer tan for pictures or no braces, and no braces won out in the end. 🙂 It was definitely the right choice, because in her own words, she “hasn’t stopped smiling since!” Hope is such a sweet, outgoing, intelligent girl – someone I would definitely choose for a friend. It was great to get to know her and capture this special stage in her life!
We had another cold, cold day for Danelle’s senior shoot… there seems to be no shortage of those in North Dakota! Danelle will be graduating from Dunseith High School in May and it was so nice to get to know her. She brought her mom and big sis along and most importantly, her adorable little boy X’zayne. He is a very charming and well-behaved little guy and we were able to capture lots of sweet moments with him and his mommy!
