Dan and Liz have a very sweet and special “love story”! The rumor is that Dan was seen riding a bicycle through a park, wearing (gasp!) shorts, and accompanied by a girl. Apparently this was the moment when his friends knew that he was in love, because Dan is just not a “ride-your-bike-in-the-park-wearing-shorts” kind of guy! 🙂 He is more “walk through the woods wearing camo while carrying a gun/bow and arrow” type of guy. Luckily Liz is also that kind of girl, at least enough to go along with Dan for a walk in the woods, where there just happened to be a pair of antlers, an engagement ring, and a marriage proposal! Also, lucky for them both that she said yes, because they are so suited for each other.  The family moments between mother and daughters were especially poignant, seeing their closeness and having Liz’s mom walk her down the aisle. Liz also had such a wonderful bridal party – cousins and friends since childhood (literally kindergarten!) The weather cooperated (for the most part), the ceremony was touching at times and light-hearted at times, and the reception details, food and drinks blew us away! I think those little, right off the tree caramel apples dipped in crushed pretzels were the most perfect food I’ve ever eaten 🙂 And the Oreo truffles? Let’s just say that some people had to be threatened to make sure that there were enough to go around!
Dan and Liz, you are off to a wonderful start, and thanks so much for having us be a part of this beginning of your lives together.
