Besides good light, photography is all about connection… the relationship between photographer and subject. Sometimes forging this relationship is natural and easy, sometimes it takes a lot of work, sometimes it never happens. With Mahalia, it was almost effortless! Her beautiful, happy, sparkly energy made this one of my all time favorite senior shoots. There is so much more to this girl than meets the eye – she’s planning on joining the Air Force and I have no doubt that her inner strength will take her wherever she chooses to go!
